Het Werkteater

Het Werkteater is mainly used as a TV studio for shows such as 'Koppensnellers'. It was originally an alternative theater in the 70s - which explains the alternative spelling (werkteater rather than werktheater).

For some years, it is also used for Salsa parties, initially on Sundays and nowadays on Saturdays. The dance area is a on the first floor. The large dance floor is very smooth - take care when selecting your shoes. The floor also has a bit of a slope - so everyone tends to end up in once corner.

There is live music by different local bands and the party usually starts with a workshop. The crowd and atmosphere are similar to the Muiderpoorttheater, not surprising if you consider that these parties are also organized by dance school Sabroso.
