In response to the devastating earthquake in Chile a benefit is presented tomorrow to raise funds for the millions of individuals left without adequate food, water and shelter. This benefit will take place at Partycentrum van Galen with various dj's (like Mauri and Willy) , shows and a workshop.

La Esquina Cubana, who also used Havanna for lessons and a weekly Wednesday party, has moved their activities to De Kluis. All the best to both dance schools who have been caught by these surprise closings. | |

Baila Cubano is a Cuban dance organization based in Germany. They have a 3 day dance seminar in Amsterdam on February 15th - February 17th at New Dance Studios.
The seminar is targeted at dance teachers and the instructors themselves are living in Cuba and doing a European tour. The same organization is also responsible for bringing Los Van Van to De Melkweg in March. More info on the website.

De Badcuyp has announced their plans for next year.
Unfortunately, they are stopping with their weekly Salsa party on Wednesdays. This is by far the longest running Salsa party in town - it has been held for over 12 years. Your last change to go to the weekly party is coming wednesday.
Next year, there will be two new monthly parties on Fridays. The first Friday of the month there is the return of Fiesta Cubana (starting February) and the last Friday of the month there is another Salsa party.
Soy Cuba who have taught Salsa lessons for many years at De Badcuyp have also moved to a new location, De Beiaard on Marie Heinekenplein.
