Tomorrow is the the Summer Breeze 15 year anniversary party at Westerunie. Salsa-amsterdam would like to thank Mimo for organizing Salsa parties in Amsterdam for 15 years!

The anniversary Summer Breeze is a very special edition featuring live La Excelencia from New York City.

Mauri has a new weekly party on Mondays at The Lobby, a cafe on Amstelveens weg. Another weekly party I have been informed about recently is the La Salsa Crown Party at De Kroon.

Here's a round up of recent changes in the Salsa party scene:

• Salsa4Fun has a weekly dancing after class from 22.00 - 24.00 on Fridays, except for the nights when they have the monthly Club Mystique.
• Salser latin parties are now 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month instead of once a month
• The parties at Chicanos which were started not long ago have been stopped. 
• As reported earlier, Shape has a regular party on Sundays.

There are a number of new activities that are organized to fill the big hole that was left by the closure of Cantinero.

Most notably,  Chicano's has free Salsa parties from Thursdays to Sunday in cooperation with Extremos, with a Cuban night on Sunday (sounds familiar? ).

Extremos also has new parties at Club Roses and Mirror centre and there is also a new weekly party starting at Shape on Sundays.

Cuba's #1 band Los Van Van plays De Melkweg on Thursday...

In response to the devastating earthquake in Chile a benefit is presented tomorrow to raise funds for the millions of individuals left without adequate food, water and shelter. This benefit will take place at Partycentrum van Galen with various dj's (like Mauri and Willy) , shows and a workshop.

Magna Gopal gives a workshop tomorrow at the monthly Salser party at Dansschool Kluver.
